Stacy Hope Herman is a seasoned creative logistical Production Executive with global experience in film, television and digital content both union and non-union. Genres include lifestyle, documentary, docudrama, long and short form scripted and unscripted programming. Contributions on award winning productions using diverse skills, combined with a strong work ethic and strategic thinking has enabled her to oversee multiple production schedules, budgets, cost reports, crew hires, fine and final cuts from inception through delivery. A highly creative troubleshooter, Stacy takes pride in her ability to successfully optimize resources while maintaining an inclusive, diverse, safe and focused work environment.
As Head of Production for Leopard Films USA during a rapid expansion, Stacy built a production infrastructure to support and execute 210 hours of programming commissioned by networks such as Scripps HGTV, DIY, Speed, and A&E. Prior, she worked as a Line Producer for airings on A&E, Discovery, National Geographic, Bravo, Fox, TLC, and PBS. Coming up the production ladder she production managed shows for airing BBC, USA Networks, VH1, UPN, and production coordinated MOW’s for airings on CBS and NBC, as well as various feature films.
A founding member of the Producers Guild of America’s East Region and its first Financial Officer, Stacy is dedicated to giving back by teaching and mentoring the next generation of film and television production team members. As an Adjunct Professor at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, she teaches a practical course called, Line Producing: The Nuts and Bolts of Production, is a beloved thesis advisor committed to helping those starting out in the industry. Other teaching positions include a yearlong production course at Norman Steinberg’s MFA program at Long Island University in The TV Writers Studio.
